Michael Ted Levin is an American politician and attorney serving as the U.S. representative for California's 49th congressional district since 2019. A member of the Democratic Party, Levin represents most of San Diego's North County, including Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, as well as a portion of southern Orange County. He is currently serving his fourth term. Levin flipped the historically Republican-held seat in 2018 after the retirement of Darrell Issa and has won four consecutive elections in the competitive district. His legislative work has focused on spent nuclear fuel removal at the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station, veterans' affairs, and environmental policy.
